@QuakerBookshop Amazing art! Great display!

The only happiness Sinead O’Connor ever had during her childhood was whilst at Newtown Quaker School in Waterford for 2 years where she was given her first guitar and encouraged to sing and play.

@BBCBreaking Nicola’s case is sad. Questions remain concerning Lancs police. My son Nathan Cole disappeared in London 4 days earlier and was also found in water 3 weeks later 200m from where family said he went missing. The Met said they searched there but had not.

[Eamonn Cole @EamonnCole1]

@AliceBhand Thank you, Alice. Everything you did to raise awareness around Nathan’s disappearance was hugely appreciated. All our family express their gratitude.

@SixNationsRugby ... but not last night! 🤣

[Eamonn Cole @EamonnCole1]

@ClassicGuitarR1 Absolutely, from the 80’s when it all started to go ‘mullet’ (Yes, Percy, that means you!), through the 90’s, noughties, (What the crap was that), until now, music has never been so dire. Not even rock has reversed the malaise. Prog is the only music that means anything anymore!

When will Western Mega-Companies understand that reciting their commercially protective mantra, “We continue to monitor the situation” actually equates to “We’re protecting our shareholders and profit”. Greedy bourgeois elite hark back to Empirical rule!

[Eamonn Cole @EamonnCole1]

@hronists @rogerwaters Definitely, for one who consistently castigates the 'Western' warmongers, why isn't he calling out Putin? 🤔

Russian soldiers, stop killing your brothers. There will be no winners in this war.

My daughter-in-law is Ukrainian and my grand-daughters want to visit and know their beautiful country. Stop this before it is all destroyed.

Putin must go

[Eamonn Cole @EamonnCole1]

@BBCBreaking NATO sent military defence forces to Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia, Somalia - all of which were not NATO members. Q. Why then not Ukraine? A. Because the West is frightened of Putin and too weak to act even when it is on their own doorstep in Europe

Hospitality needs to eradicate ageism, especially among recruiters. It discriminates against older people more than any other industry. Workers are not 'past-it' once they hit 40. They are the source of knowledge and experience hospitality presently desperately needs. #stopageism

@ProgMagazineUK Extremely sad news for his family, his friends and colleagues, BBT and the Prog and Music world. A scholar and a gentleman and a wonderful musician.

[Eamonn Cole @EamonnCole1]

@o2sbe Fantastic gig by Jethro Tull last night in this iconic venue, but how they can justify charging £14.00 for a small can of crappy cider and a pint of lager is absolutely shocking 😱and a tiny bottle of water was £3.45! Disgraceful profiteering by the O2. Spoilt the evening!

[Eamonn Cole @EamonnCole1]

Shame again to see so many hospitality companies on the list of unscrupulous, greedy employers. If the Pret Foundation was set up to alleviate poverty and hunger, perhaps they could start with their employees!

Why so many are leaving hospitality...
Regrettable, but very true. Unscrupulous hospitality employers continuing to exploit staff through the lockdown.
