I feel like a parent. This morning I had to pick up my dog kids from their warm beds in the house and carry them outside - because suspect 1 and suspect 2 refused to even lift their heads when I said come get up.

Free community papers are in a fairly better position than two years ago.
Ie @thepaarlpost who had a paid circ of 3,812 in 2026_Q1 & 5,805 in 2024_Q2 now have a free circulation of 13,186 per week.

Newspaper circulation overall declined by 1.6% quarter-on-quarter and 5.8% year-on-year.

@dailymaverick suffered the most, while I expected @die_papier to do better.

@TheCapeArgus & @CapeTimesSA had good increases but both have more free than paid circulation.

My day started with my dogs barking at voices coming from my room, while I was in a Teams meeting. Shortly after that they caught a pigeon outside and brought it in for breakfast. Victim is traumatised and accused 1&2 is upset that I stopped them.
