@JamesMartinSJ I am not opposing your message on welcoming immigrants, though I wish that were tempered with respect for the immigration process. But I am spurned by the messaging on Matthew 25 never covers abortion despite the unborn being naked, hungry, and strangers.
@JamesMartinSJ Padre, does Jesus' exhortation on the hungry, the naked, the thirsty, and the stranger, apply to the unborn? Because they always seem to come last in social justice practice. If you were equally harsh on abortion as you are on immigration, I would be more receptive to you.
@TheVallyD@revsully I found out a few months ago that there was a D&D Red Sonja module. I suspect you're right: IP was really, really loose up until 25 years ago, maybe more.
@TheVallyD Which is something of a shame since the DC Comics and Bantam novels were so prevalent for years. AFAICT, they just sort of became irrelevant, not even by fiat but just sort of went: poof.
@TheVallyD I stopped being a hardcore Trekkie years ago, so I'm not the sharpest fan on this. My understanding is that ALL non-screen Star Trek has been optional, disposable fiction forever. Even the animated series, which had the entire original cast, wasn't "real."
@ZachBowders@TheVallyD Hell, the amount of lore that built up from 1991 to 2014 made the EU purge all the more jarring.
I'm still attached to there being Skywalkers 100 years post ROTJ.
@Pax_Plastica@BridgetPhetasy If your position is that the federal naming of it as "McKinley" is an old established thing, fine, but the cultural tug of war over this is much older. Literally, this was a political flex back when McKinley was still a candidate.
@Pax_Plastica@BridgetPhetasy It's more complicated than that. The native name going back a long time was Denali. There's a lot of local Alaskan culture that referred to it as Denali for a long time well before Obama renamed it.

@PillarCatholic@canonlawyered That is to say: to the extent leftward Catholics think we have a political mission of meeting the corporal works, there's still an implicit message that the unborn are fed last. Hence your concerns here about a split in the church. Vance bad, no comment on any D, is how it reads.
@PillarCatholic@canonlawyered I am still trying to figure out why the unborn rank at the bottom of American Catholic corporal works of mercy. The debate quickly devolves into perceived pro-life hypocrisy and, well, if the movement is lacking, I don't see why the left can't pick up that baton.
@emzanotti The real trick would be to see if you can make a buddy at Patrick SFB and see if they can get you onto Canaveral for a tour. But those are some very specific strings to pull.
@ChrisDJackson @SecDef Original post by @ChrisDJackson deleted. Chris accused SecDef of naming the base after Braxton Bragg and then ran off instead of apologizing.
