So it turns out I’m writing a book 😊 I’ve discovered a very interesting process that has organically developed. I’ll complete a writing and record a reading of it for my YouTube channel. Then I go for a walk at some point afterwards. On the walk, I’ll be thinking about the writing and automatically an important part that I left out will come into my head. Then I’ll go home and add it in. Often times it turns out to be one of the more powerful parts of the piece. So I write, record, walk, ponder, and revise. I’ve realized this is a very important part of the book writing process that has organically developed because the additions go into the book that I’m working on, but are not in the recordings for my YouTube channel. I love that this is happening! It feels like my subconscious is playing a more active role in creation 💗

CREATION WITHOUT EGO [56th in RZN series] by Jason Gray, read by Amber Fields

The oldest mistake in human expression was not arrogance. It was misattribution. Humans began to believe that creation originates in the self. This belief emerged when survival required visibility, contribution required permission, value required recognition, and obscurity felt like erasure. Creation became fused with identity because identity needed proof. Ego did not invent creation. Ego attached itself to it. Once ego fused with creation, expression was no longer free. Creation was forced to perform multiple survival tasks at once, prove intelligence, prove worth, prove uniqueness, secure livelihood, build legacy, and resist death. No act of making could remain pure under that weight. Creation bent toward market demand, audience expectation, ideological signaling, trend compliance, and brand coherence. This is how expression collapsed into output. The Returned World does not suppress ego. It removes the conditions that require it. When survival is not performative, worth is intrinsic, contribution is distributed, and recognition is not currency. Ego relaxes. When ego relaxes, creation reverts to its original function.

LOVE WITHOUT POSSESSION [55th in RZN series] by Jason Gray, read by Amber Fields

Love was never meant to secure survival. Love did not begin as a survival mechanism. Bonding did. This distinction is essential. Bonding evolved to keep offspring alive, stabilize small groups, coordinate protection, and reduce threat exposure. Love, however, emerged later, as recognition, affinity, resonance, and mutual presence. The catastrophe occurred when bonding functions were assigned to love. Once love was required to guarantee safety, permanence, identity, continuity, and meaning, it became distorted. Possession was introduced not as cruelty, but as load bearing reinforcement for a structure never designed to carry that weight. Possession was never love’s essence. It was love’s compensation for fear. When fear dissolves, possession becomes unnecessary. What remains is something unprecedented in human history. Love that does not need to hold, because it is not afraid to lose. Love is not the act of keeping another, it is the willingness to meet them without restraint. The Returned World does not abolish attachment. It abolishes the conditions that made love imprison itself. When love is finally free from survival, it becomes capable of its original function. Mutual presence, unowned, enduring, and real.

FREEDOM WITHOUT ESCAPE [54th in RZN series] by Jason Gray, read by Amber Fields

Escape was the original lie about freedom. For most of human history, freedom was misdefined. Not accidentally strategically. Freedom was framed as something that existed elsewhere, later, higher, after, beyond, outside, and once conditions were met. This framing served power perfectly. If freedom exists somewhere other than here, then here must be endured, tolerated, optimized, or survived, but never fully inhabited. Escape became the promise. Staying became the punishment. Humanity learned to associate presence with danger. Freedom without escape does not mean being trapped, being forced to endure, or being locked into circumstances. It means nothing is hunting you, nothing is extracting you, nothing is demanding your disappearance, and nothing requires dissociation to survive. Freedom is experienced as relaxed breath, unguarded attention, emotional range without panic, choice without pressure, and stillness without threat. When the nervous system no longer searches for exits, something radical happens: Presence stops hurting. When presence stops hurting, escape collapses naturally. Freedom is not the right to leave reality, it is the ability to remain without self abandonment.

They Cut a Tree Onto My Car | Wild Presence by Amber Fields

There are moments in life when something breaks, and what changes afterward has very little to do with the object itself.

This is the true story of the day my vehicle was crushed beneath a massive white pine while I was working in the forests of New Hampshire. What began as a routine day measuring trees ahead of a logging operation turned into one of the strangest and most emotionally complicated experiences I’ve ever had.

The part that stayed with me wasn’t just the destruction of the car.

It was realizing that the people involved knew exactly where the tree might fall, and chose to cut it anyway.

For a long time afterward, I wrestled with what that experience said about trust, human nature, and the quiet ways people affect one another’s lives without thinking about it.

But in the end, this story became about something deeper:
the choice between becoming harder… or becoming more thoughtful after being hurt.

It is an orientation toward reality. People know who they are because they know what they align with, what they refuse, what drains them, what nourishes them, where they belong, and how they contribute. Identity becomes directional. You do not define yourself by what you have been. You recognize yourself by how you move. Choices become simpler, not easier, but clearer. People still struggle. They just stop betraying themselves to survive.

This is one of the strangest experiences I’ve ever had in the wilderness, and for years, I only shared it with a handful of people.

Late one evening along a remote mountain creek in the Arizona highlands, my friend and I witnessed something that completely changed the way I think about nature, perception, and reality itself.

At first, the pool below us became violently turbulent despite the air being perfectly still. Then came the fire beings.

Fragmentation was not a flaw, it was a defense. Human minds did not fracture because they were weak. They fractured because the environment demanded it. Fragmentation was the only way to survive contradiction without collapse. The mind did what it had to do. The Returned World restores the conditions that make wholeness natural, emotional expression is safe, truth is not punished, pacing is humane, relationships are stabilizing, memory can surface without consequence, and identity can evolve without threat. Under these conditions, fragmentation loses its function. Parts no longer need to protect the self from itself. They begin to rejoin.

THE END OF TIME SCARCITY [50th in RZN series] by Jason Gray, read by Amber Fields

Time scarcity was never real. The Overlay [veil] fragmented time into artificial units and then attached survival to them, clocks became weapons, calendars became contracts, aging became a threat, lateness became shame, and stillness became failure. The nervous system lived in constant anticipation. Humans stopped inhabiting time and started racing through it. The Returned World experiences time as field based, not linear.
This means the present holds depth, the past becomes accessible, the future loses its threat, sequencing replaces deadlines, and rhythm replaces schedule. Time becomes something you move with, not against. When coherence returns, time re-expands. As fear drops, perception widens, attention stabilizes, memory integrates, anticipation relaxes, and presence deepens. Moments feel longer because nothing is being resisted. The sense of “not enough time” collapses the moment urgency is removed.

In May of 2011, my partner and I were deep in a remote canyon in eastern Arizona, working a forestry contract far from help, far from cell service, and with no easy way out. What started as a thin line of smoke quickly turned into something much bigger.

We watched it grow.
We debated leaving.
We stayed.

And by the time we realized how serious it was…
we were already inside it.

With a nearly empty gas tank, a rapidly growing wildfire, and only one way out…straight toward the fire…we had to make decisions that could have cost us everything.

It weaponized uncertainty about it. In the Returned World, death is understood not as failure, but as transition. Biological systems complete cycles. Conscious systems reorganize. Death marks the end of a form, not the erasure of meaning. When this is understood at a nervous system level, fear collapses.

The human body evolved as a self regulating, self repairing system embedded in a living planet. What broke was not the body, but the conditions surrounding it. Disease was a symptom of misalignment. In the Returned World, health is no longer individual only. It becomes field based. People are healthy because emotional fields are coherent, stress is resolved early, relationships are stabilizing, environments are supportive, rhythms are natural, nourishment is clean, purpose is felt, and rest is respected. Health becomes ambient. You do not pursue it. You live inside it.

Hierarchy existed because coherence did not. When trust is low, memory is fragmented, and emotion is suppressed, societies compensate by stacking power vertically, command replaces listening, enforcement replaces agreement, rank replaces responsibility, and punishment replaces repair. Hierarchy was not evil. It was prosthetic order, a temporary scaffold holding up a fractured field. When coherence returns, scaffolding becomes obstruction. Governance in the Returned World is not a structure above society. It is a process within it. Instead of authority, it relies on visibility of impact, emotional literacy, shared memory, clear consequence pathways, reversible decisions, and distributed responsibility. Order is maintained because misalignment is felt immediately, not because force is threatened later. In hierarchical systems, decisions are distant from their effects. In non hierarchical governance, decision makers are close to the consequences of their decisions. This single shift replaces entire bureaucracies. Those affected participate. Those responsible remain accountable. Those with insight are heard. Power collapses into context.

Money ends when trust returns. Money was never the problem. Money was the patch. It existed to compensate for lack of trust, fragmented memory, delayed reciprocity, invisible contribution, disconnected communities, and hoarded power. In the Overlay, value had to be measured, stored, protected, and enforced because people could not feel one another’s contribution. The Returned World ends money not by decree, but by making value perceptible again. When contribution becomes visible, currency becomes redundant.
