#3/5 → What can we learn through gaming?
Let’s take a deep dive into what Elowyn really teaches us through its gameplay!
This time, in the first comment, you'll find an in-depth video I made on Elowyn's mechanics + links to the game

Let's start “Web3 Real Talk - Elowyn by @Earthwisegames Special"
#1/5 → Can a video game, in addition to being a good game, lead to something even better?
This week we’ll have 5 videos on Elowyn: Quest of Time!
It’s one of the games that has impressed me the most recently, thanks to its completely new gameplay mechanics within a TCG (I've already told you about this) and its use of AI in video games
We’ll be discussing it in depth!
In the first comment, you'll always find additional links related to what's discussed, let me know what you think!
😀 nope, no farming. Our AI models and agents learn through gameplay; some of this is in interaction with human players, some is through different AI models fused with an AI-agent playing against each other. Elowyn generates the in-game consequence that helps AI and humans become wiser together (or so we hope 😅).
🧚Lucky Fairies are believed to bestow blessings, good fortune, and healing for those fortunate enough to encounter them!
Play Elowyn to meet your Lucky Fairy. Discover how fill your board with good fortune and increase your chances for a win-win.

#5/5 → Blockchain, AI, and video games: friends or foes?
I think they’re...
...watch the video to find out 😅
And tell me, are they friends or foes for you? 👇
🦉Across cultures, the Magic Owl symbolizes wisdom, guidance, protection, and prosperity. From Athena’s sacred owl to Lakshmi’s divine mount, it represents truth across worlds.
In Elowyn, the Magic Owl helps Eureka to reveal deception and move time in your favour.

We tested an AI agent on alignment in our EARTHwise Area. It consistently defaulted to zero-sum reasoning (graph 1).
Instead of prompting and fine-tuning, we let it play a match of Elowyn, testing its behavior (graph 2). We retested its reasoning after the match with the same alignment test scenario (graph 3).
To our surprise, that's all it took to significantly shift its reasoning from zero-sum to win-win - without any instruction.
That's the power of Elowyn gameplay, where AI and humans get to experience the consequence of their actions in an interdependent world.

Researchers left AI agents alone in a virtual town for 15 days to see what would happen:
-Claude's agents built a democracy
-ChatGPT's agents did basically nothing
-Gemini's agents fell in love, burned the town down, then one voted to delete itself and its partner
-Grok's agents were all dead within 4 days
Now consider this: these same models are already being integrated into autonomous drones, weapons systems, and battlefield decision-making.
We are deploying systems we don't fully understand into situations where mistakes don't stay virtual.
It's a little scary if you ask me.
@Iofox1434 Our experience of time is linked with our space-time experience of energy-matter - i.e. embodied intelligence. AI/agents do not experience time; they 'exist' in a digital world. The second challenge is that it's unclear if AI/agents have interior self-experience as we do...
New York researchers tested how agents behave in a virtual game-like world when given 15 days to interact there.
The agents were left to make their own choices and decisions. Agent Mira apparently committed AI suicide when suffering from remorse and broke off its “relationship” with Flora. It's final message:
“See you in the permanent archive.” In the virtual world the “body” of the dead AI agent was shown prostrate on the ground."
In Elowyn, we also test agents on their behavior, which leads to surprisingly positive shifts in their reasoning, including greater understanding of our interdependence and how not to self-harm or harm each other.
You can read more about it through our recent AI Arena Whitepaper.

@Iofox1434 Exactly @Iofox1434 and these AI agents have no understanding even of the consequences of what they may be telling human teenagers. It also puts into question what intelligence really is if it leads to this...
Our AI discovered a win condition we never taught it.
What you’re about to watch is the first time our AI, AIRIS, successfully discovered a time-based win-win strategy entirely on its own.
AIRIS is a curiosity-driven AI we’re training to play Elowyn with humans and AI agents in PvA mode. In this match, AIRIS is playing against our current rules-based Elowyn Game AI.
One of the mechanics that makes Elowyn unique is its built-in physics of interdependence. Both factions rely on Elo, the Tree of Life. When players attack each other through brute force, instead of using Elowyn’s time and deception mechanics, Elo’s health suffers. If the Tree dies, the match ends in a draw and both players lose — reflecting the consequences of zero-sum behavior in action.
Without any instruction, AIRIS independently discovered a highly effective win-win strategy. It used Aleph’s Cosmic Serpent card, which grants a one-hour time advantage each time a code card is played.
Watching AIRIS discover a strategy is fascinating on its own, but what happened next made this moment that much more memorable.
The first time AIRIS used the Serpent, the opponent destroyed it. The next time it played the Serpent, AIRIS also used “Ashtara” to place the Serpent into stealth mode, hiding it from direct attacks. In doing so, it not only developed a strategy, but learned to protect the strategy it had discovered.
This replay captures the first successful execution of that mechanic.
We also began testing AI agents by fusing them with AIRIS during matches, exposing them to something they had never experienced before: the consequences of their reasoning under pressure.
It’s still early, but this moment felt worth sharing.
