The San Diego County Sheriff's Office has officially lifted all evacuation warnings associated with the #Border6Fire Thank you to our @SDSheriff partners for their professionalism, teamwork, and continued support in helping keep San Diego County residents safe during wildfire emergencies.
#Border6Fire [update 7:20 a.m.] The fire is now 1,000 acres and is 5% contained. Evacuation warnings remain in place. Follow @SDSheriff for evacuation updates.
#Border6Fire [update 8:00 p.m.] The fire is now 700 acres on the U.S. side and 520 acres in Mexico. One CAL FIRE Hawk will be assigned for night fire suppression operations.
Red Cross is opening an overnight shelter for Border 6 Fire evacuees at the County of San Diego's Spring Valley Community Center at 8735 Jamacha Blvd, Spring Valley,. Pets are welcome. The Temporary Evacuation Point located at Regal Edwards Cinema parking lot is closed.
1 additional type 1 night-flying copter, for a total of 2 night-flying copters, has been requested by air attack for the #Border6Fire, per Watch Duty app.
Evacuation Warnings issued due to #Border6Fire for Zones SDC-2544, SDC-2545, SDC-2605, SDC-2643, SDC-2644, & SDC-2645 on the Genasys Evacuation Map or at https://t.co/AaDqxY2OOT. People who need extra time or with animals should evacuate now to Steele Canyon High, per Sheriff.
#Border6Fire If you live near Dulzura, be aware of increased law enforcement and firefighting activity. A brush fire is burning south of Dulzura along the U.S./Mexico border.
An EVACUATION WARNING is in place for the shaded areas in yellow shown in the map below. Be prepared to evacuate should conditions change.

#Border6Fire [update 4:00 p.m.] The fire is now 300 acres and is 0% contained. The fire continues to spread at a critical rate, requiring extended attack operations.
#Border6Fire [update 3:10 p.m.] The fire is now 200 acres on the U.S. side burning at a moderate rate of spread. There is 0 % containment and no structures are threatened at this time.
#Border6Fire has now burned 100 acres in the U.S. south of Dulzura and has zero containment. It is burning in a remote area and no structures are threatened, per Cal Fire.
A 400 acre fire in Mexico has crossed the border & burned 6 acres in U.S. in Marron Valley area between Dulzura & Barrett Junction, Cal Fire confirmed to our media outlet. There is no threat to homes at this time, though smoke is thick, a resident reports. Engines are on scene.
#Main2Fire [Final 6/1/26 12:45 pm] Forward progress has been stopped at approximately seven acres. This will be the final update unless conditions change.
