Ethan Sanchez finishes the season as one of the best in Forsyth County after his 1st year in a new training program and 99.9% of runs SOLO! Less miles, less workouts, less races BUT a whole lot of work most don’t want to do!
SR Jacob Bangham spent his entire JR year tearing down a 1:59.44 SO talent, placing strength and health as the top priorities! Off of 2-3miles per week actual running he split a 2:03.9 at the Regional Championship for his best performance of the year! The Tear Down is complete and the ReBuild has begun!!
Congratulations to 6’6” Keenen King lowering his 400 from 53.94 to 53.01! The now Sophomore had a fantastic Freshman year qualifying for the Indoor and Outdoor Track State Championships as a member of the 4x800 relay!
Great start. Settled and waited for others to help do some work. Respected and covered a move by 4:12 Palmer before moving past to break at 600. Held off Palmer at bell lap and surged to extend lead with 350 to go! Knew 4:07 Anderson was sitting and kicking. Hoped he would get boxed in like he did in the 800, but he got by Ethan and he didn’t have enough to hold off 4:17 Gray, who he beat a week before!
This upcoming year is going to be a tough year to race Ethan Sanchez!
Huge year of improvement for JR Ethan Sanchez with his 1st State Championship appearances in XC, Indoor and Outdoor of his career! He secured his 1st All State Honor and and closed the gap significantly, beating 7A guys with fall PRs of 15:10, 15:18, 15:18, 15:19, 15:22, 15:23, 15:30, 15:33, 15:47, 15:48 and 15:51 this outdoor track season!
SO Landon Mitchell didn’t know where his place was on the track team last year! He lowered his 400 from 59.57 to 54.15 this outdoor season and you can see in workouts he’s hungrier than ever!
