Wad a riverside bed and breakfast, passionate about food, living local, family and friends. Flooded out on 27/10/2019. Campaigning for flood resilience
Not all flood victims are equal. Farmers and home owners lose out on Government funding on arbitrary basis. @bbcmtd thanks for highlighting our plight #flooding (not sure if the sound is there)
@floodmary Been thinking exactly the same thing myself. At least our original flood was in October so we’ve had time to adapt to post flood normality and be in a long term temporary home but for many isolation a month after flooding must be terrifying
Francois getting all antsy about Big Ben.
Farage whining about his little flags.
Goldsmith becoming Lord Über-Hypocrite.
Johnson dicking about.
Patel being Patel.
British fascists planning their 31st celebrations.
Brexit. Any chance you could not be such an undignified shitshow?
December in Europe was a ridiculous 3.2°C warmer than the average for 1981-2010
Long term temperature anomalies are usually recorded in fractions of degrees!

@prutske_uk @RestoreHope_20 Some of us non 5 million do understand and are utrerly appalled in your befall. The 5 million was always why I was fighting to Stop Brexit because only by stopping it could we secure the rights of all EU citizens
I agree! It seems so unfair that only some floods warrant support!

This is the largest crowd I’ve ever witnessed in my life. I’ve never seen Iranians so unified, ever.
This is Suleimani’s funeral in Ahvaz, Iran.
Trump has no idea what he has done.
New British citizenship rules claim that migrants with multiple parking offences may be barred from British citizenship as their history demonstrates 'someone of not good character'.
However, where does this leave repeat offender, Boris Johnson?

I didn't vote Tory, but even if I had, I would surely not have voted for Cummings. He was not a candidate, so how come he seems to be the only boss in government?

Quite difficult to take this in when you consider the size of Australia.
The dark orange areas (most!) saw their highest recorded December temperature in 2019.
When they talk of ‘resilience’ they mention raising the electricity points. Totally ignoring the point that flood water is filthy and leaves contamination in its path. If we build on floodplains we need different types of housing. #floodaware

“THE TRUTH IS WE ARE OK TO BUILD IN FLOODPLAINS IF WE BUILD FLOOD RESISTANT HOUSES" so said Richard Benyon, MP last year. Our #floodadaptive homes can work well in floodplains and our sites will capture, store and manage floodwater efficiently.
The Tories aren't going to call #Brexit Brexit after 31st Jan. As we enter the transition period they'll pretend they got #Brexit done by not referring to it. Do they really think people are that stupid? (Don't answer that).
What shall we call the transition?
I suggest #Fuxit
@KabinaCo Let’s chat after Christmas. It currently has a flooded house on it. But loathed to let the insurance company ‘put it back just like it was’. And we’d like to move on.
Having worked in partnership with @PhialaM I rang a frail man of 92 to reassure him that he would get flood insurance from @floodre when renewal is due. He is surrounded by #floodwater & lives in fear of being flooded again. Luckily the water is receding. I really felt for him 😥
So disappointed that the @Borisfloodgrants aren't for all those who flooded this autumn, just those who flooded during a narrow window of time, oh & at least 25 houses in a community had to flood too, or else no 5k grant. 😪
