@the_transit_guy I’m from the part of CA where the “train” is being built. Everyone hates it except the people employed by the process. They (rail authority) don’t even own all the land yet.
Big NO from this El Paso County resident.
@GeoffHaxton Jeff, good luck with your sale. Lubbock is a great city. Not being critical….why are so many lawns brown in Lubbock…even in “good” neighborhoods?
@BillAckman@MountSinaiNYC Bill, my daughter’s in a wheelchair due to spinal cord tumors.
Just love what you are doing.
Three cheers for Lucy and her willingness to get better. It’s a hard road.
Forty years ago my husband, newly transferred from Camp Pendleton to Rota, Spain, received a similar invitation, marked “casual”. He shows up in a Hawaiian shirt! Needless to say he was the only officer in the room dressed that way. He quickly learned the difference between East coast casual and West Coast casual.
@RomanPuglise The investment options available in CA when I was putting money in 10 years ago were low risk, low return. Are there better options now where you can get 7%?
I like this advice.
I also like the love and care the poster put into drafting it. That is for you, new, tired mama.
I love church and the relationships but sometimes people let you down. Hard to extend grace in the moment - I know from experience - but long term, highly recommend.
Praying right now for an easy day for you.
@Cyber_Trailer Very good post. The overpass at Hwy 43 was built, torn down and then built again. Been under construction for years. HSR-contracted trucks moving dirt tearing up county roads.
Agree…imperfections are texture and character and are a welcome reflection of our own personal limitations….i think they help people feel comfortable in the space.
I was in a position to offer some design direction to good architects on a new build public building in central california. They added in the “old” with rustic ceiling design that exactly mimicked 100 year old warehouses. Instant character mixed in with many modern elements.
Very successful.
