Earlier this month, Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan traveled to Romania, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Hagop and Ica Kouyoumdjian. Together with Bishop Datev Hagopian, Primate of the Diocese of Romania, they toured the country’s Armenian holy sites.

The new cross was blessed and raised to the top of the Cathedral in June, 2024. This milestone has created a positive turning point for the Eastern Armenian Diocese to look towards the next era for St. Vartan Cathedral, here, in New York City.

The Armenian Heritage Conference, held in Bern, Switzerland on May 27-28, addressed the consequences of the ongoing conflict in Artsakh, with focus on the protection of its Armenian Christian and cultural heritage.
