The Mahoning River Corridor Revitalization Plan is entering a new phase expanding the recommendations generated in the plan. The Appalachian Community Grant Program is funding a planning phase with a focus on trail planning and downtown revitalization for river communities.

Monday, July 17 is an Air Quality Advisory Day in the Youngstown-Warren region. An cold front has pushed dense smoke from Canadian wildfires into the Mahoning Valley, increasing particle levels. Therefore, AQI levels for PM2.5 will be Unhealthy on Monday.

Friday, June 30 is an Air Quality Advisory Day for Youngstown-Warren as light southwesterly winds continue to transport smoke through northeastern Ohio. As a result, AQI levels will be Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups for PM2.5.

Thursday, June 29 is an Air Quality Advisory Day in the Youngstown-Warren region. Winds will shift to southeasterly, allowing dense smoke to re-circulate and accumulate in the region. Temps in the mid-80s will also aid ozone formation. Therefore, AQI levels will remain Unhealthy.

Wednesday, 6/28 is an Air Quality Advisory Day in the Youngstown-Warren region. Northwesterly winds are transporting dense smoke from Canadian wildfires into the Mahoning Valley. In addition, pollutant carryover from Tuesday is high. These conditions lead to Unhealthy AQI levels.

Today Eastgate was presented with a check by the Board of Mahoning County Commissioners for $1.5 million.

The money will go to expanding broadband access in rural Mahoning County. Reliable internet access is essential in the modern world, and we are dedicated to improving access

Eastgate was happy to attend a ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of Kinsman Township’s Phase 3 sidewalk project.

The 2,610 feet of sidewalk, funded partially through Eastgate’s Transportation Alternatives Program, will help pedestrians access various amenities nearby.
