@LATimesSkelton SB9 SB10. Really? You give Newsom credit for courage? Those bills are for market rate housing not affordable housing. Will the homeless be renting or buying?
@billmaher@jillstewart Normally I'm a fan but your commentary on housing laws (sb9 sb10) demonstrated a gross lack of research. Please correct the error. Contact Livable California to hear the downside of sb9 sb10.
@jillstewart Unbelievable. My parents were foster parents. Took in 47 children over the years. I'm glad someone is helping them but doubt many fosters/ex-fosters know how to reach out to get those services. Hope County Social Services is doing outreach.
@dillonliam@AriPlachta@manuelatobiasm SB9 does nothing for the housing crisis, with no requirement for low-income or affordable housing. Atkins markets the bill claiming homeowners can develop their property. They would have to pay off their mortgage and qualify for a $960K loan, favoring developers not homeowners.
#SB556 Swiss Re, one of the world’s largest insurance companies, classified 5G as a “high impact liability” risk. “concerns regarding potential negative health effects from electromagnetic fields (EMF) are likely to increase. @AsmPatODonnell

SB 9 & 10: We don't need more luxury housing for the housing affordability crisis that will only fuel gentrification and higher rents and trigger more evictions. What we need is more AFFORDABLE housing. https://t.co/H51KxscIvA #SB9#SB10@AsmPatODonnell

@jillstewart@suzettemartinez@JamesRamos@ChadMayes @laurafriedman43 @AsmJesseGabriel Only a very wealthy homeowner could afford to use SB9. The property must be paid off. At $300/sq foot for construction, would take $960K loan to build (4) 800 sq ft units (2 duplexes). This bill is for developers, not homeowners.
@Jebisabigfatmes@HousingHumanRt They are building in Long Beach - but it is all market rate housing. The housing shortage is about low-income and affordable housing, so they are missing the mark.
@latimes @khouriandrew @AriPlachta Andrew - please read the bills if you are going to write on them. 66411.7(i)(1)" .... a local agency shall not be required to permit more than two units on a parcel" means cities can choose to allow ADUs in addition to 2 duplexes with SB9. 6 to 8 units could be the result.
@RandyVoepel SB10 is extreme and will do damage to quality of life in our neighborhoods. Allowing City Councils to overturn voter initiatives is a blight on democracy. Vote no!!
