@LauraMiers@EnemyInAState Parents should be the main source of education and communication for those early years. Nowadays everything is expected to be taught at school or day care. Spend time with your kid. Talk to them. Show them things.
If they’re in front of a screen all day… there’s your problem.
@Nicolsonraea People who play the victim. Life is tough and everyone has problems. Some people let that get them down and even pull others down with them. Own your issues and get on with it.
@KarenMMiddleton@InsidersABC When our ex PM overruled a decision and no one questioned if he had the power to do so. GG didn’t question his wanting to be secretly sworn in to multiple portfolios. Deputy PM seems have have had no clue what was going on.
Where are the checks and balances in our system? 🤔
@Mark_Butler_MP While it’s great at risk under 5s will start getting the vax, it’s unacceptable that others still have to wait!
How many little ones will become immunocompromised because of multiple bouts of Covid? 🤔
@Amalgamquietude I thought it was common for asymptomatic cases to test neg. on RATs, hence wanting a PCR to be sure. Clinic staff said it wasn’t necessary. Still don’t know how I got Covid other than through one of the kids but we’ll never know.
@Amalgamquietude The kids had no symptoms but we tested them every day because of being exposed to 3 different cases. When I got Covid we were like they have to be asymptomatic and testing negative. 7 days from last contact with a positive case.
@RachaelBott1 @Amalgamquietude My stepkids were close contacts of 3 cases in under a week and still testing neg. I got Covid and don’t know how as I hardly ever go out. Wanted to check if the kids might be asymptomatic (common to test neg). but were told PCR not necessary. The staff were so reluctant to help.
@Amalgamquietude We tried to do this but the nurses at the PCR clinic sent us away. They said a PCR wasn’t necessary, just do the RAT and if it’s neg. on day 7 you’re fine. Seemed irresponsible advice to me.
@BridgeMuir Education and intelligence are not always the same. You probably want someone on the same intelligence level but you can have multiple degrees and still be an idiot. Or have no degrees and be a well-read, intelligent person with lots of life experience too.
@olddaddy123@freocookster@MarkMcGowanMP It’s not enough. It reduces your chances but others need to mask too. So many close contacts who are contagious but not yet confirmed cases out there unmasked spreading this thing. Some are close contacts and choose not to test because they don’t care.
@freocookster@MarkMcGowanMP I have worn a KN95 every time I’ve been out. I’ve avoided crowded spaces and events.
Despite my best efforts, yesterday I tested +.
It’s not enough to wear a mask. Others, especially those who are close contacts or unwell, need to wear masks too. #StopTheSpread#WearADamnMask

@GemmaTognini 1. Albo left before the floods. The fires were already a crisis when ScoMo left.
2. Albo had legitimate work to do, going to a NATO and G7 meetings to represent Australian interests. ScoMo went on a family holiday.
It’s not the same.
