People often cite the absence of last mile connectivity as the reason for not taking public transport.
The footpaths ARE among that last-mile.
You can have the swankiest Metro but if you have walk on the road dodging speeding vehicles to reach it it defeats the purpose.
Hope @krishnabgowda doesn't stop with hawker clearance. Some rich violators cars need to be towed off

The sidewalk is being used a two wheeler parking.
This is prime road that leads to metro station.
Hope the big establishments are penalised to lose their revenue for few days, just like hawkers

500 / 1000 fine is too small to for 50/100 Cr networth individuals.
I drive car, I ride bike and I walk whenever I go to work since I mostly use public transport and carpooling. Still I say that forcing out street vendors is not a great idea, elitist to the core.
