@CavernOnHumans I switched to pokemon late last year. I go to a weekly some Fridays mostly to hang with family that play the game too. Attendance is like 30-40. For a weekly. And it's only 5-10 children. Every GP they have cap. I played a 150 player glorified Game Day. Game is so popular.
@JoeMGardy Great season either way. I got ace trainer my first half season of competitions play. Feels small in comparison to yours but proud to get there in a short amount of time.
@aarrgh_@iReedMinds Thats mostly the NAIC. I had no issues signing up for the other regionals I played at. It does suck that it is capped but they are trying to actively discourage the scalpers. Also the game keeps growing so probably a logistics issues as well. They book the venues years in advance
@aarrgh_@iReedMinds I will say Pokemon is pretty good. They have GPs and worlds but nothing In between. Judging is a different story sadly. Best part is most decks are 50 dollars or less.
@_MOwithanE @aarrgh_@PokeDuelsTikTok They aren't. The parents are. They could easily just have something in their rules that say Pokemon, the venue, or the TO isn't responsible for what happens to people at their events.
Love watching a judge kick out a player for having their 8 year old daughter who is coloring and not causing any disturbance at a cup. Sure it's a rule but it needs to change. Thats crazy. @PokeDuelsTikTok for visibility. Feels like discrimination against single parents.
@amt5133 @_MOwithanE @aarrgh_@PokeDuelsTikTok You know widows exist right? Like what if one of the parents tragically passed away? Are they not allowed to enjoy something in life?
