We celebrated our amazing Year 12 students this morning in our end of year rewards assembly. We are so proud of their resilience, maturity and optimism. They truly are amazing young people in the making! Here's wishing them all a restful and sunny summer break.
Year 12 Biology students took part in the Intermediate Biology Olympiad, questions required knowledge of core principles alongside problem solving skills. Lauren achieved a Bronze award whilst Carson, Emily and Abigail were commended. A huge well done to all that took part.
Mark discussed his incredible apprenticeship at Fujitsu.
-Year 10 reviewed their recent successes from work experience and created a CV to evidence the range of skills and expertise they have been developing throughput the year.
Careers Morning was just the job! Last week, we had a fantastic Careers Morning with careers focused lessons and several outside speakers sharing their expertise in a range of areas.
-Year 8 participated in an active and engaging workshop by Speak to Win about public speaking.
-Year 9 started to consider Post-16 options with a talk from James Buckley from The Pledge about apprenticeships which featured alumni student Morgan Barnett.
All the pupils had a brilliant day and were a joy and credit to their schools!
We look forward to next year.... who will be brave enough to take the challenge?
Finally - the Crystal Maze, where pupils had limited time to hunt down as many red, gold or black crystals as they could, each crystal having a point value. After the big count, the winners of the day were Marlfields with Marton coming a close second.
