I've watched this video repeatedly. What does Tinubu mean by “kill the economy and give them hope”? 😭
It may sound funny now, but if he wins again, you won’t be spared the consequences of a dead economy.
Think before you vote! Elections have consequences!
I don't usually ask for help publicly, but today I have no choice.
I'm trying to raise funds for a Total Hip Replacement surgery that will give me a chance to live without constant pain.
This is my story.
When I was 9 years old, I was involved in an accident that left me with a pelvic fracture. I was admitted to the hospital and underwent treatment. Eventually, I was discharged, and for a while, life seemed normal again. About two years later, I started limping; something wasn't right. We thought to seek help at another hospital, hoping to find answers. Unfortunately, I was placed on the wrong treatment. It nearly cost me my leg but left me with one leg shorter than the other.
Eventually, I was referred to an orthopaedic hospital and after proper evaluation, doctors discovered that the ball of my hip had come completely out of the pelvic socket.
I underwent surgery called in-situ pinning to put it back in place. Some time later, I had another surgery to remove the screw.
Even after those surgeries, I never completely stopped feeling pain. I simply learned to live with it. I adjusted my life around the discomfort because I thought that was just how things would always be.
But over the years, the pain became worse; what I could once ignore has now become unbearable.
Walking, standing for long periods, climbing stairs, sleeping comfortably, and even carrying out everyday tasks have become incredibly difficult.
I recently went for another evaluation and had an X-ray done. The result was heartbreaking. The hip joint has deteriorated badly, and the doctors have recommended a Total Hip Replacement as the best and most lasting solution.
The cost of the surgery, implants, and hospital care is ₦3,369,498.99 million.
By God's grace and through the kindness of family and a few generous people, I've been able to raise ₦1.6 million and I'm deeply grateful.
However, I still need approximately ₦1.6 million to make this surgery possible. This isn't just about relieving pain, it's about getting my life back. It's about being able to walk with dignity, work, and live without every step reminding me of this injury.
If you're able to support me financially, no matter how small the amount, it will bring me one step closer to this surgery.
If you can't, please help me by reposting this thread. It could reach someone who can help.
Every share matters.
I will attach my medical bill and X-ray to this thread as transparency is very important to me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Thank you for your prayers, your kindness, your support, and every repost. I truly believe that with your help, I'll be able to have this surgery and finally begin living free from this pain.

The reported $9 million allegedly paid by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) to an American lobbying firm to help manage Nigeria’s international image—particularly on issues of security—raises serious and legitimate concerns, if true. It touches on a broader national question about priorities, governance, and the values we choose to project both at home and abroad.
As a country, we must continually remind ourselves that a strong national image is best built on genuine progress, not perception management. Sustainable respect on the global stage comes from tangible improvements in security, economic stability, education, healthcare, and the overall quality of life of citizens. When these fundamentals are in place, Nigeria’s reputation will speak for itself—without the need for external intermediaries to tell our story.
Unfortunately, this challenge reflects a deeper and more systemic issue. Over time, a culture has taken root in which outcomes are sometimes pursued through shortcuts rather than through strong institutions and merit-based processes. In some cases, schools—both public and private—focus more on securing examination success by improper means than on adequately preparing students for the SSCE. In the same vein, access to employment, public services, and even healthcare is too often influenced by connections rather than competence or need. In the political space, inducements during elections further weaken public trust and undermine democratic values.
If security truly improves, if governance becomes more transparent, and if public institutions begin to function efficiently and fairly, the world will take notice. As former President Goodluck Jonathan once remarked, “America will know.” Progress, when it is real, does not require marketing—it commands attention naturally.
At a time when many communities across the country continue to struggle with basic infrastructure, education, healthcare, and safety, such large sums of money could potentially make a meaningful difference if directed toward pressing local needs, even in a single one of Nigeria’s 774 local government areas.
Ultimately, the path forward lies in setting clear national priorities and recommitting to doing the right things for the right reasons. Strong institutions, accountability, and a culture of integrity will do more to restore Nigeria’s standing—both domestically and internationally—than any lobbying contract ever could.
@xagreat You're a psyc_hopath. When did Christopher Musa became the chief of Air staff? Is he the one that controls the Air force? Or was he the one that controlled or flew the jets that bombed the Muslims, if there was infact anything like that.
@Iyoaiye_@DOMMUNACHIDIE So you think you have the moral standing to make such pronouncements? Even your gods and JuJu are afraid for what will befall you if you don't desist from this evil practices
@EffiongPeter17 @Jesus_Xw3 @StandUpForTrmp@realDonaldTrump Who are you to speak for Nigerians? Inasmuch as you are in a region of peace doesn't mean you have the capacity to speak for those who are in distress and in severe persecution. Make your mama and papa kpai, your children and siblings before you go get sense? Christians are dying
@Jesus_Xw3 @StandUpForTrmp Do you realize how much Nigeria spends fruitlessly on security? If Trump and America decides to come help us fight this insecurity that is tearing down our country, shouldn't that be a plus to our nation and Economy? You sound both fo_olish and ignorant to say that more Muslims
@NoelMichae41437@feel_NN@NigeriaStories Are we not in debt already? Is the country not experiencing great insecurity issues? So what difference has it if America takes a fair share of the resources?
@NigeriaStories It is time up for the terrorists, their sponsors and those benefitting from terrorism.
It is time up for those illegally mining natural resources & sponsoring terrorists.
It is time up for incompetent leaders & FBI customers in Nigeria.
It is time up for Sharia law in Nigeria.
Honestly, I support this move. If Trump and the U.S. are finally calling out the hypocrisy and persecution happening in parts of Nigeria, then so be it. Sometimes external pressure is the only thing that shakes a corrupt system. Our leaders have failed to protect citizens maybe it’s time someone held them accountable.
