Sometimes this nation is humiliated by the wife of a Colonel, and sometimes by the wife of an SSP. Ordinary people are expected to bow their heads simply because somebody has a uniform, a rank or connections.

This incident took place in Khayaban-e-Bukhari. The woman seen bringing a dumbbell, attacking another woman, pulling her hair and forcing her to the ground is the wife of SSP Fida Hussain Janwari. After that, police officials were allegedly brought in to intimidate the victims, threaten them and even damage their camera.
Now let us talk about Fida Janwari himself.
This is the same Fida Janwari who was accused of brutally torturing a PTI MPA and two PTI leaders inside a police station before the February 8 protest. The allegations were horrifying. Yet what happened to him?
Now I have another very simple question for SSP Fida Janwari.
Where did the money come from?
How does an SSP, whose official salary is only a few hundred thousand rupees a month, manage a lifestyle that ordinary professionals earning similar or even higher salaries cannot dream of?
How was a house in DHA Phase VIII acquired? How are expensive vehicles being maintained? What is the source of the properties and assets attributed to him?
These are not personal questions. These are questions every public servant must be able to answer.
His properties, vehicles, bank accounts, tax returns, declared assets and sources of income should be investigated properly and independently.

Now come to the criminal side.
The wife, the other woman seen in the video, the young man accompanying them and every police official who threatened these people, damaged their property, misused official authority or used official weapons must be investigated and booked according to their role.
This incident potentially attracts several provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code, including:
Section 34 PPC for common intention.
Section 166 PPC for a public servant knowingly disobeying the law with intent to cause injury.
Sections 337-A to 337-L PPC, depending upon the nature of the injuries.
Section 352 PPC for assault or criminal force.
Section 354 PPC where criminal force is used against a woman with the required criminal intention.
Section 355 PPC for assault intended to dishonour or humiliate.
Sections 425 and 427 PPC for damaging property.
Sections 441, 442, 448 and 452 PPC for criminal trespass and house-trespass, wherever the facts establish those offences.
Sections 503 and 506 PPC for criminal intimidation.
Section 511 PPC where an offence was attempted but not completed.
Pulling a woman’s hair, beating her, throwing her down, threatening her, damaging her property and using policemen to terrorise her is disgusting.

Every police official involved including this SSP in this episode should immediately be terminated from service and proceeded against departmentally and criminally.

Let us stop pretending that policemen, official weapons and police influence suddenly appeared in a private dispute by coincidence.
The Sindh Police is a public institution.
It is not anybody’s family security force.

And now comes perhaps the most disgusting part.
I am informed that the victims themselves have been booked in an FIR.
Think about that.
You allegedly beat people, threaten them, damage their property, bring police pressure upon them and then register a case against them.
If that FIR is false or retaliatory, it must immediately be cancelled in accordance with law or quashed by the competent court.
An FIR cannot be used as a weapon to silence people after they have already been victimised.

Finally, I want to say this directly to the victims.
I do not know whether I will be able to contact you, but if this message reaches you, my law firm is ready to provide you complete legal representation and assistance.
And even if you do not contact me, I will personally make every lawful effort to ensure depatment takes action.

It was my first time traveling in PIA but it was disappointing although the staff was amazing and friendly.

The plane had a really bad smell plus there were no sanitizers or wet tissues on board to clean hands. The seats were worn out and tables were ripped off from sides.
