I joined industry leaders and key stakeholders at the Autogas Nigeria Annual CNG Conference 2025, held in Abuja, in commemoration of World Sustainable Transport Day. The event, themed “CNG for All: Powering Nigeria’s Sustainable Future,” provided an important avenue to engage on cleaner, more efficient, and affordable energy pathways for Nigeria’s transport sector.
In my goodwill message, I assessed the transformative impact of the CNG initiative, noting that its success is a direct result of the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has championed this innovative and people-centered program.
I also emphasized that this initiative is not only redefining our energy landscape but also strengthening national development through sustainability, accessibility, and long-term economic value.

Nigeria is deepening its commitment to sustainable cooling by domesticating energy-efficient technologies and harmonizing standards.
At COP30, I highlighted the efforts made by the ECN to expand access to modern, low-impact cooling solutions through stronger collaboration with global partners and national institutions, supporting comfort, productivity, and environmental protection.

During our time in the Nigerian Military, we don’t negotiate with terrorists or offer any form of amnesty to radical groups. Those who pose a significant threat are scheduled for court to see the judge, while those who pose a much more dangerous threats are scheduled to see God.
I am committed to driving innovation and sustainability in our nation’s energy sector.
Under my leadership, the Energy Commission of Nigeria is advancing renewable energy integration, research-driven policies, and strategic collaborations that align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, transforming energy into a catalyst for inclusive growth.
Through partnerships, innovation, and institutional capacity building, we are expanding clean energy access, empowering young scientists, and bridging research with real-world impact. Together, we are lighting the path toward a more self-reliant and prosperous Nigeria.

The NUC needs to add “Media Law and Ethics” as one of the GST/GNS courses in our higher institutions. If you’re not wise enough to know certain things on your own, maybe studying them and writing exams in school might save you later.
Today, we are commencing the installation of a 4MW solar hybrid system with 100% battery storage at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano State. In line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, this project will take the hospital completely off the National Grid and guarantee steady power for quality healthcare.
This intervention aims to prevent recurring power outages, such as the recent one that disrupted hospital operations and led to the deaths of three patients. With this project, we are ensuring such incidents never recur. Our commitment at ECN is clear: to deliver clean, reliable energy solutions that strengthen our health institutions and improve the lives of Nigerians.

Today, I joined brilliant young Nigerians, innovators, and partners at the Green Skills Bootcamp and RoboVolts unveiling in Abuja. It was inspiring to see a platform that equips our youth with the skills to drive Nigeria’s renewable energy and digital future.
I commend Sleelabyte Technologies, Citibim Nigeria Limited, and Loftyinc Allied Partners Limited for their foresight in making this possible. At the Energy Commission of Nigeria, we believe our greatest resource is not just solar, wind, or hydro, but the creativity of our people.
I urged stakeholders to invest in a skills pipeline from classroom to marketplace and encouraged participants to be bold, resilient, and imaginative. Nigeria’s energy future depends on them.
I left the event confident that, together, we can position Nigeria as a global leader in sustainability-driven innovation.

I had the pleasure of receiving the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (@OfficialAPCNg), Barr. @Morka2Felix, at the Commission’s headquarters today. Our engagement was both productive and insightful, as we exchanged ideas on strengthening communication, collaboration, and advancing shared national objectives.
During the visit, I presented the National Energy Master Plan, launched in May 2024, and highlighted our ongoing programmes and policy innovations.
I also used the opportunity to explain in detail the policies and tailored roadmap initiatives in the National Energy Master Plan, which are expected to be implemented under the Renewed Hope Administration. I am encouraged by his commendation of our efforts at the Commission and sincerely appreciate his visit and support for our dear country.

JUSTICE FOR ENGR. ABDURRAHEEM MUSTAPHA ABUBAKAR 💔
Engr. Abdurraheem was a graduate of ABU Zaria, working in Abuja, and at the same time pursuing his Master’s degree in Engineering at NDA, Kaduna.
But on Friday, 29th August 2025, on his way to NDA for lectures, his life was cut short in the most painful and unjust way. Near Garkuwa Junction, a Kaduna State Police van knocked down the motorcycle he was riding. As if that wasn’t enough, an officer hit him on the head with a heavy bamboo (Gora) stick. 💔 He d!ed on the spot.
Eyewitnesses confirmed what really happened, but instead of owning up, the police tried to cover it up, claiming falsely that his motorcycle collided with a car. The same people meant to protect us took his life in cold bl00d. This is wickedness. This is injustice. This is murd£r.
Engr. Abdurraheem was not just a name,he was a son, a brother, a friend, a colleague. His life mattered. His dreams mattered. His bl00d cries for justice.
We cannot stay silent. We must demand justice. @PoliceNG 🚨
