The future of the creative economy depends not only on talent but also on the opportunities, mentorship and support systems available to nurture it.
I was pleased to welcome @sarkodie and his team to KNUST ahead of the “Kumasi Rising Dialogue”. During our discussions, I expressed the University’s interest in exploring a sustained partnership to mentor students, develop their creative abilities and connect them with opportunities in the creative economy.
At KNUST, we remain committed to exploring opportunities that enable our students to transform their talents into meaningful contributions to society.
Excellence to Eminence.

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST), is seeking a sustained partnership with Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo, known as @sarkodie , to nurture student talent in the creative arts and expand opportunities for entrepreneurship.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Christian Agyare proposed the partnership when Sarkodie and his management team paid a courtesy visit to his office ahead of activities under the Rapperholic 26 project, including the Kumasi Rising initiative.
Professor Agyare said the proposed collaboration aligned with the university’s strategic focus on sports and creative arts and could help students develop their talents and explore career opportunities.
