Following the announcement last night by the Prime Minister of a new lockdown across England, parents and carers in St Helens Borough are advised that schools will remain open for vulnerable and key worker children until further notice.

You MUST self-isolate.
It is also vital that you book a test.
St Helens Borough Council will not allow children to go hungry this October half-term.
The council is providing vouchers for children entitled to free school meals.

This is to facilitate @unitedutilities in repairing a sewer which has collapsed under the carriageway.

Following the government's announcement yesterday, face coverings are now compulsory:

π· for bar/restaurant staff and non-seated customers
π· for shop workers

Iβve just spoken to one of the lead engineers on site & he said that the works, to fix the electrical cables should be completed over the next few days.
Some of the electrical street cables had melted in the heat & need replacing.
