@xioslop Correct me if I’m wrong; high school doesn’t necessarily prep you for art school + isn’t art SCHOOL implying to learn and study fundamentals if you weren’t fortunate enough to have the opportunity beforehand? I’m aware that isn’t the case but not everyone is privy to that fact
It’s a lot of money, and I understand it’s a privilege. Yet, I don’t look forward to my parents expecting success when the steps they are forcing me to take might not bring results. I guess I’ll have to be even more pushy to reach my goals, despite not knowing if it’ll pay off.
Why people pay for degrees that don’t necessarily break someone into the industry is parents that don’t understand this “investment” won’t guarantee advancement of their kid’s career. Funny how it’s then held against their kid, a choice varying on severity dependent on success.
I feel like nothing really changed after that 5k… only a growing sense of dread for the future. I was also expected to plan and host a launch event, not many came after all that work. I felt betrayed almost. Art school is fun if you don’t think too hard about it.
Happy Narumitsu week 2025 from Japan!!!

At first I was going to do each prompt separately when I realized... what do I do best? Comic poems! So, l used each prompt as a necessary word that I must include in the poem!!! (Repost, cause, omg the resolution-)
