"I think it's time we talked this over
I think you've taken this too far
I never wanted to be different
Didn't ask to be nobody's star
Try to take control of it, 'cause
What you see is what you get
Try to take control of it and not me
You say there's talk of revolution..."

With the change of boss in the US on Monday I’ve been revisiting this Dead Kennedys classic from 1986

[ECFMjeff @EcfMjeff]

@Ashy_slashee Robert Carlyle as Hitler in Rise of Evil. Supremely intense and chilling portrayal that only Carlyle can do.

[ECFMjeff @EcfMjeff]

@Cozsi Trevor Horne and Geldolf clearly have no taste

[ECFMjeff @EcfMjeff]

Gutted that #BandAid40 totally ignored Band Aid 2. Who wasn’t looking forward to Big Fun,Cliff Richard and Sonia making an appearance on the new version?

[Classic Rock In Pics @crockpics]

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits started a nine-week run at No.1 on the US album charts. August 31, 1995. Favorite track?

[ECFMjeff @EcfMjeff]

So Tuesday 27th August 2024 will henceforth be known as the day Britain lost it’s shit over #oasis2025

[ECFMjeff @EcfMjeff]

Today seems to be about going back 30 years and re-living that feeling of anything is possible on your own terms. This was part of that soundtrack #oasis2025 https://t.co/ugKDoT2sKy

[ECFMjeff @EcfMjeff]

This instant classic takes Cocteau Twins, The Cure, Slowdive and all things nice so up to date it’s ahead of itself by two years. This track is UK Radio2 listener friendly, glorious yet reserved, effervescent and uber confident.

[ECFMjeff @EcfMjeff]

@AvonandsomerRob A pint of Carling Black Label please guvnor!

[ECFMjeff @EcfMjeff]

@allgrungerock No such thing as a best song on this album. They are all epic tracks. Every minute listening to this album is a refresh for the soul.

[ECFMjeff @EcfMjeff]

@TheRaw_D @GeorgieTheGeek Not actually what was reported though.

[ECFMjeff @EcfMjeff]

@elonmuskADO It’s a bit like when Prince changed his name- we called him The artist formerly known as Prince. X is AKA- X formerly known as twitter.

[ECFMjeff @EcfMjeff]

@NoContextBrits Any of this lot would be better than the bunch of currents we have at present.

[ECFMjeff @EcfMjeff]

@soundstoryuk @softcellhq A true 80’s classic that never gets the airplay it deserves nowadays.
