BIG NEWS! This boy was trapped this morning, not by me, but another member of our community and he is now in the hands of our local TNR program! He's going to be neutered and will no longer contribute to the stray cat population. Without his hormones there's a good chance he will become calm and could be adopted into a home and become a treasured house pet! This is such very good news!! ♥️ 😺 #TNR #GingerRescue
Our idea to keep helping stray cats..
I've had several stray and feral cats in rough shape find their way into my yard. When I look out and see a scared, thin, or injured animal, every instinct and every fibre of my being says to help them. How could I refuse when I know I can help, and in our cold Manitoba, Canada winters, where the weather in this harsh climate drops to a bitter -40°C/-40°F, I know that fast action can mean the difference between life and death. Many cats lose their ears and tail to frosbite and the surgery to amputate a limb costs around $660 dollars. Ask me how I know..
With prices of everything so high right now, and this little stray cat I recently took in that gave birth to her four precious babies, and now spotting this orange stray outside who in all likelihood is probably the father to these kittens, and he needs medical care, and there will undoubtedly be many more.. I put my pride aside and asked my community for help with kitten food, cat food, litter, and had one generous person give me a container of litter that I'm ever so thankful for, but I realized that I didn't want to rely on handouts. So my 16 year old daughter and I have been tossing around the idea of maybe making handmade beeswax candles, as they're non toxic and naturally release beneficial negative ions into the air, as well as pure goat's milk soap, both in the shape of cats and kittens with most of the profits going straight to TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) programs to help put an end to all this needless suffering and endless litters being born outside, and the rest will help me take in and care for stray and feral cats while finding them Loving forever homes. I've always been resourceful, and I'm determined to find a way to continue to help these innocent animals. I will never stop being a voice for them as I've done so my whole life. And they deserve every effort. They're pure Love wrapped in fur. #RescueCats #HandmadeWithLove #BeeswaxCandles #GoatMilkSoap #TNR
