@TPEassist realise this is a longshot but has anyone found or handed in a twisted silver hoop earring on the 21:00 service from Manchester Piccadilly to York? 😥
@TPEassist the 07.32 Slaithwaite service to Manchester from York is already full and is only going to get more rammed as it makes its way to Mcr. Can I ask why you don't put a 6 carriage train on instead of 3 for such a busy rush hour service? I don't fancy standing for 40 mins.
Two of the hardest lessons to learn as an adult, when recovering from childhood trauma:
1). It is not on you to get someone to treat you better, when they’re hurting you. This is their responsibility.
2). When to walk away.
The irony that hurt people are shamed for becoming estranged from abusive family members, while the abusive family members feel no shame at all. There is such hypocrisy in abusive systems.
“You need to forgive.”
For which time?
Also, what do I do when they do it again?
And how does that help me heal?
And just curious, do they have any responsibility in this?
Family isn’t everything. Sometimes family holds the root to a persons greatest pain. Sometimes family is the place that lacked love but not abuse. There is great bravery in those who walk into the unknown in order to build a new life that protects them from this kind of family.
Breaking the cycle is lonely. That person spends valuable years trying to belong in an unsafe environment until the cost is too great. The breaking point is being invisible to those they needed most. It's not always a lack of people, but the absence of people that love well.
The loneliness that comes from healing trauma is because the person attempting to heal is surrounded by people who are suggesting there’s nothing to heal from. You will be made to feel crazy when you can’t mask pain among those wearing masks.
