In Turkana West , home to the Kakuma & Kalobeyei refugee camps ,TUPADO’s Pathways to Prosperity (P2P) Project is transforming lives through Dressmaking & Fashion Design training for 60 young women under its TVET programme.

TUPADO, through the IMARA program, convened an EWER strengthening forum in Aroo Sub-county, bringing together participants from West Pokot and Turkana Counties.

TILRP review workshop was held 16 May 2025 at Cradle Hotel by @TUPADO_ and @CBM_Global_KE . Stakeholders, incl. gov’t,@TurkanaCountyKE @KNCCITurkana @MOH_Kenya , reflected on successes: VSLAs, basketry, climate-smart agriculture, & assistive devices boosted resilience for PWDs.

Thereafter , I addressed the staff and students of St Kevin’s Secondary School, Lodwar where we planted 74 trees within the school compound, to commemorate the dissemination of MTP IV (2023-27) in Turkana. I was accompanied by Deputy Governor, Dr John Erus, the County Commissioner Julius Kavita and senior officials from the National and County Governments.

@TUPADO_ Hr @Favouredros attended a 5 day reflection meeting organized by @Welthungerhilfe and @PacidaKenya in Nanyuki. The main objective was to look at the KEN 1202 project implementation. Partners shared challenges, acknowledged achievements and lessons learnt.
