Renewable energy critics love to point out that it takes 255 tons of coal to build a wind turbine.
But it would take a coal-fired power plant 154,494 tons of coal to generate as much electricity as a wind turbine produces over its entire life.

Excited to be an artist within this initiative! ๐Giving our planet credit as a co-writer of our music, allowing royalties to be shared to impactful environmental organizations ๐๐ฟ

Thank you for supporting climate action ๐
Arts/Culture (music, art, fashion, film, video games, etc...) will be one of the most important catalysts, for the climate movement, in bringing people together for planet earth ๐ Lets enable community through these creative mediums.
Collectivism is key for the climate movement. We don't need individual heroes carrying the load of the climate crisis. We need a mass movement of people all participating, however they can, to make long lasting change.
There's been a sudden, unprecedented flurry of news in Aus sport and culture, where individuals, groups and orgs have been bravely ditching fossil fuel sponsorships/partnerships, or taking important first steps
I'll update this thread as more come...this is **VERY EXCITING** ๐บ๐ฝ
In case you haven't realized it yet, climate activists are only getting started as fossil-fueled climate breakdown is intensifying every year. If this activism inconveniences you, consider directing your anger at world leaders who are completely failing to act
I am currently reading All We Can Save, edited by @ayanaeliza speaking in this video below about finding your own calling within the climate movement. I love the idea of leading your own participation with joy as a prominent factor ๐๐ฟ

A reminder: the people in power donโt need conferences, treaties or agreements to start taking real climate action. They can start today.
When enough people come together then change will come and we can achieve almost anything. So instead of looking for hope - start creating it.
The climate crisis is here. #COP26 must be a turning point to protect people and the planet.
Leaders, the world is watching and urging you to rise to this moment. Thereโs no time to lose. #ActNow. https://t.co/zruhUorFCX
