We save over 100,000 gallons per day hand watering fairways. It is a great BMP, but I also have to do it out of necessity during long dry stretches because we have very little water supply with no way to get more, other than rain events. @NYS_GolfBMP @EcoTurfConsult @AudubonIntl

Found time to play a round with my ole buddy Mike today at Marysville GC. I started playing golf at this municipal course in 1978. Lots of great memories there. Golf will fulfill its purpose if you let it. It’s taken me 45 years to learn that lesson.

We also have air diffusers, and we add black dye to the ponds every week during the growing season. Those three things, including the straw, have reduced chemical inputs by 90%.
