As we head back towards the ferry, we've got some lovely memories of our last day together, making board games and biscuits, making friends with crabs at the beach, and watching singing, dancing and magic tricks at our talent show!
What better way to finish the evening, than with a movie night and some chocolate cake? (Cake not featured, as it didn't survive long enough to be photographed!)
This morning, the centre was visited by some fairies who needed some help to save their Fairy Bridge home from a greedy developer. But never fear, everyone was up to the job! Day saved...
We all enjoyed a chilly but impressive view from the top of Snaefell, the tallest point on the island, from which you can see England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales!
Our jam-packed Monday finished off with a ride on the train down Queens Pier in Ramsey, a trip to the swimming pool, and songs and marshmallows around the campfire
IoM B sighted from IoM A! π Wishing you all the best for your week β€οΈ
Thanks to my Volunteers, the Ecoweekers and their parents. See you next time!
Our Final Night Extravaganza went without a hitch last night, with songs, dances and an unexpected visit from a murderous vacuum cleaner!
We did run out of bowls for chocolate cake, so the Volunteers had to get creative!
This morning, we've been to the Queen's Pier in Ramsey. Some of the planks plaques look very familiar to those of us who were here in 2023...
The train is also still very lovely.
We were all at sea this afternoon, as the Venture Centre staff took us out for some coasteering by Port Lewaigue beach.
Some of the Volunteers really didn't fancy it and hid!
Here is an unrelated picture of a nearby hedge.
Snaefell was not above but inside the clouds! We all rode the mountain train to Bungalow station, and some of the group made the final part of the journey on foot. We recorded gusts of up to 38mph at the peak!
[Pictures are failing to upload, sorry]
We took a tram trip to Laxey, where some played on the beach and some explored the Laxey Wheel.
Next stop: Snaefell, which will hopefully be above the clouds!
