What a great video by Yorkshire wildlife trust of sea grass restoration. Who knew how important such a small plant could be! https://t.co/EdVGCVlncl

I love this article from the wildlife trusts highlighting how nature and conservation can reduce our environmental impact. https://t.co/pS9qKmwkCT

Not the most exciting photo but composting is a great way to utilise your food waste. Composting your food waste for 1 year can save the equivalent CO2e emissions as the average washing machine produces in 3 months! Great stat @recyclenow_uk

Lovely walk to town today for a veg shop at Chak and Sue @trinitymarkethull . I love being able to pick my own veg and save on plastic packaging at the same time!
Walking also saves carbon emissions from driving and a nice way to keep active. Win win.

Fab trip to @blondescoffeeshop demolished a delicious vegan lunch and refilled our dried goods! An easy switch that supports local and reduces single use plastic consumption!

My Β£3 dress from @dovehousehospice and the reusable bag I used to bring it home in! Did you know that in the first 12 months after the carrier bag charge was introduced 1.5bn fewer bags were used! Such an easy switch just keep one handy in your bag.

Box donated to @dovehousehospice today. We always keep a box on the go to pop in anything we come across that might find a better home!

3 for Β£1 for these beautiful terracotta pots from @dovehousehospice. Charity shops are a great place to find hidden treasures, reduce your impact on the environment and support local charities! Shout out to @plantandpaint for the gorgeous succulents.

STANDBY. Apparently unplugging appliances when not in use can save 5-10% off your energy bill and extend the life of items like chargers! That's my routine changed for the better.
Thanks for the tip @YTNHumber#YTNecosummer
Next post for the @YTNHumber#YTNEcoSummer Challenge is a simple one!
We always make sure to use reusable bags when out and about.
Around 12 million tonnes of plastic waste enters our oceans every year.
Everyone needs to do their bit - also, a plug for the Waterline Summit!
Today's @ytnhumber Eco Summer challenge - active travel.
I enjoy cycling, for the piece of mind that I am saving emissions from a car journey and for keeping active too. Thanks to @HullCityCouncil and @CycHullCity for continuing to make network improvements.
