In Mangochi, the @EcogenMw team is installing a productive biogas system that a school has purchased to transform how they cook and manage waste.

Once completed, the #biogas system will help the school prepare 1,500 meals every single day using clean, renewable energy.

The school will thereby do away with 6 tons of firewood every month, reducing costs and pressure on forests.

The biogas system will also manage waste from 70 cows, turning it into biogas for cooking and nutrient-rich #biofertilizer for school gardens.
