What a great trip to #islandbeachstatepark! I learned a ton about the spatial patterning of coastal plant communities and how barrier islands are dynamic systems where interrelationships between physical and ecological processes are readily apparent. I also dug a hole!

Back at it again! This time we're in the Lehigh Canal and Monocacy Creek (Bethlehem, PA), collecting multiple benthic samples across a transect of each stream. Our goal? To collect as many macroinvertebrates as possible. We'll be analyzing them next week!

Another day out in the Experimental Forest! This time we were observing long-term species compositional changes in order to experimentally investigate the impacts of gap dynamics and over-browsing on those changes. We even found a Pileated woodpecker!
