Tariff design determines winners and losers of distributed energy sources such as solar. With inefficient tariffs, adopters benefit while non-adopters potentially lose out. Cost-reflective tariffs solve this. New paper in Energy Economics.

I am advertising a 4-year PhD position on modelling sustainable energy transitions for Ireland. The candidate will join the super energy policy and modelling group @UCC@eriucc@MaREIcentre and will be jointly supervised by John Curtis @Econ_irl@ESRIDublin.
