The global rate cut cycle is over:

Among 52 central banks worldwide, the same number hiked and cut rates in May, at 26 each.

This comes after two years during which more central banks were cutting rates than raising rates each month.

The last time this occurred was in early-2021, after which 3 years of restrictive policy followed.

This figure peaked in mid-2022, when 28 more central banks hiked rates than cut.

Last week, the European Central Bank hiked rates by 25 basis points to 2.25%, marking their first hike since September 2023.

On Tuesday, the Bank of Japan also raised rates by 25 basis points, to 1.0%, the highest since 1995.

The global tightening cycle appears to be beginning.

Las 10 empresas más importantes de México concentraron ventas por más de 7.5 billones de pesos durante 2025, equivalente al 28.6% del total generado por ‘Las 500 empresas más importantes de México’.

El ranking de Expansión 2026 está encabezado por Pemex, seguida de Walmart de México y Centroamérica y América Móvil. La lista prácticamente no registró cambios respecto al año anterior, salvo la entrada de Grupo BAL en la décima posición, desplazando a Stellantis México. Aunque Pemex lidera por ingresos con 1.52 billones de pesos, también mantiene una de las mayores cargas de deuda del mundo y reportó pérdidas netas durante 2025.

That’s you.

You are atoms forged inside a collapsing star billions of years ago that somehow learned to read this sentence.

No signals. No visitors. No wreckage.

That silence might be the most important data point in human history.

They’re survival architecture for the only awareness the universe has ever produced.

But almost nobody engages with the argument underneath all of it.

And the argument is this.

Without consciousness, the universe still exists. Stars still burn. Galaxies still collide.

But nothing experiences any of it.

Without a witness, existence means nothing to anyone.

You are that witness.

The only one the universe has ever produced.
