I think the Tropical Modernism at the V&A show terrific, so many fascinating buildings and a revelatory exercise in uncovering the Ghanaian & Indian architects who used architectural Modernism in nationalist programmes. Go!
Tropical Modernism opens TODAY! "An engrossing exhibition shows how newfound freedoms in West Africa and India inspired an optimistic, independent design approach." Smart and engaged review by @edwinheathcote@FinancialTimes

I wrote about Giani Rattan Singh, the model-maker who built Chandigarh in miniature, and the 95-year-old John Owusu Addo, one of Ghana's first modernists, for @V_and_A magazine. Tropical Modernism: Architecture and Independence now open
"V&A's 'Tropical Modernism' is a richly historical show at the 2023 Venice Biennale, perfectly aligned with the overarching theme of inclusion &...a fascinating insight into the shape-shifting interplay between modern architecture and colonialism" @V_and_A
