I want to acknowledge the sacrifice of our brave soldiers 81 years ago today! This military operation literally changed the world as we know it. #grateful
81 years ago tonight 156,000 troops waited for what would be the largest amphibious invasion in history. Many wouldn’t know whether they’d live to see another sunset. In the end, about 4,400 of them would lose their lives on the beaches of Normandy.
Coach Cicere (back in my day) made a big impact on me during my time as a cadet. Very grateful for men like him and will never forget the lessons learned during boxing class! Great to see you doing well Coach!
Air Force baseball was honored to have Lt Col retired Chris “Swiss” Cicere throw out today’s honorary first pitch!
Swiss is a 1983 grad from the Academy and served active duty around the world as well as a Liason for Student Athlete Affairs at USAFA.
Thank you, Swiss! ⚾️
