I like the tilt and blurriness in this photo...it captures the feel of 5th graders working together to take on the challenge of finding solutions to the most efficient way to solve for mean, median, and mode for an entire deck of cards. @donnaGeorge91 #ThePatriotWayBCS

BCS had the unique opportunity to learn from Dr. Wilmott today (Army, 31 years), who spoke to us about loving our enemies. He was the personal Dr. to Saddam Hussein during his trial and shared his experience of befriending him. #ThePatriotWayBCS #Amen

#GlobalPlayDay was an unforgettable experience this morning!! No technology, just fun face-to-face, hands-on interaction enjoyment😀

[Mitchell Hammersley @EdForService]

We spent the morning celebrating solution-finding, collaboration, and FUN during #GlobalPlayDay today. Look at those smiles! #ThePatriotWayBCS

Spontaneous student-led production of The Nutcracker by second graders today. They rehearsed, made signs for the hallways, and promoted it by word of mouth to the whole school. Did it eventually turn into chaos during the fight scene? Sure. But they owned this! #ThePatriotWayBCS

Thank you to our anonymous Santa for the new set of iPads for our K-6 classes! These will be going out to classrooms today. BCS Elementary is feeling the love! #ThePatriotWayBCS

We have much for which to be thankful. God has blessed us immensely. Have a Happy Thanksgiving, BCS! #FeastDay #ThePatriotWayBCS

Great turnout for Donuts with Dads! Met Branson’s granddad who served in the Army all over the world and witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall. Amazing stories everywhere you go. #ThePatriotWayBCS

We will have a two hour delay for BCS Schools today. Be careful out there today. Very dangerous this morning

Every kid is a leader if you give them the opportunity. Second graders taught our sixth graders how to use the RazKids app this week. Brilliant collaboration with @donnaGeorge91 and @lotsoflovins. #ThePatriotWayBCS

Quiet, shy new girl who at the beginning of the year was sad about not having any friends: “Mr. Hammersley, out of all the schools I’ve been to, this one is my favorite.” *hug* ❤️❤️❤️❤️ #ThePatriotWayBCS

We had a great time last night at Hot Skates for BCS Elementary Spirit Night. And, I didn’t fall! Thanks to all of the parents that made it out on a school night. #ThePatriotWayBCS

Bottle flipping (much like the dab but less annoying) is not dead yet! Kids love it and that’s what matters, so thank you to Mrs. Z. for leveraging this popular pastime to teach the scientific method. #ThePatriotWayBCS #STEMclass

Thanks @Colts for the free posters for BCS teachers! You’re a first-class organization. #ThankATeacher #ThePatriotWayBCS

Real life superhero sighting at school today! Thanks to Mr. Ray of the @PlainfieldFire1 Department for visiting, answering questions, and teaching our preschoolers about fire safety. #ThePatriotWayBCS
