Who would be the most expensive player in Premier League history adjusting for football inflation (increase in total revenue for the PL per season)? It has to be the greatest goalscorer...the one and only @alanshearer at an inflation adjusted £223.3m when signing for Newcastle. He also appears at £100.2m when signing for Blackburn. @rioferdy5 appears twice in the top dozen signings
Including @AFCWimbledon, there’ll be 9 ex Premier League teams in League One next season.
AFC Wimbledon, Barnsley, Blackpool, Huddersfield, Leicester, Luton, Reading, Sheffield Wednesday & Wigan.
Some big away days 💙💛
@willgkelleher Such a shame how much the European game has been unnecessarily tampered with. Everything from TV to the qualifying stage. And then outrageous ticket prices
At Mestalla Stadium, there’s a quiet but powerful tribute, a statue of a man seated in the stands.
He was a lifelong season ticket holder who, even after losing his sight through illness, kept attending every Valencia game with his son beside him.
When he passed away, the club honoured that devotion by placing a statue in his original seat. His son still sits there today, right next to it ❤️👏
What an incredible place to play football, right in front of a World War II bunker in St. Pauli, Germany.
The Feldstraße Bunker, now known as the “Media Bunker,” has been restored and transformed into a luxury hotel, nightclubs, and concert venues.
Definitely one for the bucket list.
