In a Roman Osteria (1866) by the Danish painter Carl Bloch.
The patron who commissioned the painting was a merchant named Moritz G. Melchior, who is shown talking to two gentlemen in the background.
Bloch actually drew himself into the painting and is the man with his back turned, looking menacingly at the individual who is supposedly flirting with the two women at his table. He is backed up by his cat.
