Gary Lineker shouldn't have to speak out for human rights

Marcus Rashford shouldn't have to feed school children

A war hero shouldn't have to walk for PPE

The common issue here is the Tory Government we have had to endure for 13 years

If Wigan come out of Admin with new owners, then the EFL will punish the new owners, club and fans with a points deduction and possible relegation. The previous owner/Board of Directors can walk away and asset strip another club. How is that fair? #EFL #lufc #wafc

[Official Wigan Athletic Supporters Club @WiganAthSC]

We are asking the Government to review the need for a statutory owners and Directors Test! ALL Football fans from ALL clubs please sign! It takes 2 minutes and it will protect clubs from the same fate as us! Please sign now! https://t.co/iOM7RiLezs!

At 9am yesterday, match-day, #wafc manager Paul Cook picked up his phone & began calling the 75 members of staff who'd been made redundant by administrators. Cook wanted to support & console them. He cares. At 6pm, Cook's well-prepared, well-motivated players went out & beat QPR.

[Eddie Ping @EdPing]

@henrywinter My Dad (in his 70s), a Wigan season ticket holder, got a call from the club to check up on him during lockdown. The voice on the other end? Paul Cook himself. He chatted happily and laughed at all my dads bad jokes. #notallheroeswearcapes #saveourclub.

What has been allowed to happen to @LaticsOfficial is a disgrace. A well-run, much-loved club at the heart of our community for 90 years.

The government must provide the help we need to finish the season, followed by a full inquiry into the failings that allowed this to happen.
