I didn't bother to look up the statistics, but Elizabeth must be virtually crime-free. How else could the police director and two lieutenants find an hour to stop staffers of a mayoral political rival from holding a campaign sign in a park?

Newark Airport is a lifeline of our region’s economy. Extending flight caps through 2026 risks higher costs for travelers and fewer jobs for local workers, especially leading up to the World Cup. NJ deserves better than delays and half measures.

The Federal Aviation Administration said today it will now extend significant flight cuts at New Jersey's Newark Airport through October 2026 as it continues to face an air traffic controller shortage and congestion issues.
Today's order limits flights to 72 per hour, up from 68 earlier this year but still down from the 80 or more before May.
Despite the lower limit, more passengers are still taking off Newark, mostly due to United Airlines' increased use of wide-body aircraft.

Over the long term, we shouldn’t have political gerrymandering in America, just a fair fight between Republicans and Democrats based on who’s got better ideas. But since Texas is taking direction from a partisan White House and gerrymandering in the middle of a decade to try and maintain the House despite their unpopular policies, I have tremendous respect for how Governor Newsom has approached this.
