Started reading @SirKenRobinson's book,"Creative Schools: The Grassroots Revolution That's Transforming Education" this week. From page 1 and beyond, I am reminded of what I love and am so sad about when it comes to education, learning, and my role in it all.
My twitter reach is pretty small ~ if you know an educator who may want to share it with their students or know someone who would like this...retweet so others can see the videos and watch Frenzy grow! https://t.co/htpqHzxqea
I wanted to have a class pet for my remote 2nd graders this year~huge thank you to @7BMD for signing on to record weekly videos and even meet with us live so students can watch her 3-month-old Burnese Mtn Dog grow up through the year. Check out the videos! https://t.co/htpqHzxqea
@7BMD Stacy has made them so any teacher can use them (or parent, grown-up, teenager, kid...whoever!!) and enjoy watching Frenzy grow! "Your Friend Frenzy" can be enjoyed by all.
Once again @brewerhm says what every teacher needs to hear...what can I do to take something off your plate instead of adding to it. https://t.co/ieA7FlMYdF
I think my teacher evaluations for the year are done, goes something like this: You pivoted, adapted, you were flexible & persevered, you were resilient, you showed grace, you worked your tail off & you did it! Thank you, thank u! What educators have accomplished is unbelievable!
My wish is that @seesaw had video-conferencing built-in to meet with students and was in partnership with @loom for recording videos. All in one! So thankful for both Seesaw and Loom and how supportive they are to all their users. Huge THANK YOU!
I've been using @useloom for recording read aloud videos so students don't have to go to YouTube. Parents have liked not using YouTube where they feel they have to monitor their child. Highly suggest this super simple to use video recording/screencasting platform! @edtechsandbox
Feeling so thankful to be in the Digital Education Leadership program at @SeattlePacific and @edtechsandbox for the last 1.5 years. Grateful for @drdavidwicks and our cohort for teaching me skills that I am putting to use every single day right now. Now, time to collaborate.
I can't thank @NCCE_EdTech enough for providing the free registration raffle prize that I won at an @EdCampPSWA event last year. It was an incredible conference and I learned so much...such a generous prize and 3 days of inspiration will inspire me to do more as an educator!
@EdTechSeattle This was such a great event - thank you ~ I left feeling so inspired by the students, their projects, all that @foundry10Ed does (wow!) and all those I met there...really looking forward to the next meet-up!
