@mkvenu1@Devinder_Sharma According to the 2011 Census, only about 24,821 people in India have Sanskrit as their mother tongue, which is roughly 0.002% of the total population

@MANJULtoons After seeing this photo, not one wil ever believe that the resignation was for "health reasons". 2nd highest post being economical with truth. A new low in our republic.
@varungrover In 2016, Food truck startups were boasting of IIT founders, last week I saw a pre-school being promoted with IiT and ISB passouts. Now l, Hoping to see IIT founders solving traffic management
@prashatsa I don't think that's the point. She was trying to point out the lack of savings amongst our generation. To oversimplify that point say that not buying blue tokai can buy us a house seems incorrect. Buying expensive coffee is an example, not the larger point of her tweet.
@x_rahulraj Agree completely
Which of these 3 is responsible for disappearance of Ex VP Mr Dhankar
Do such things happen in 21st century in a democracy.
BJP and all Indians should introspect.
Oh, but what about the venture capitalists (VCs)...
It's interesting to see that the sectors attracting the government's ire in the recent past – everything from cryptos to futures and options to online money games to rent-seeking edtech – have largely been funded by venture capitalists.
It reminds us once more of what Richard Thaler and Cass Sunstein discuss in their book Nudge: "Markets provide strong incentives for firms to cater to the demands of consumers, and firms will compete to meet those demands, whether or not those demands represent the wisest choices."
Which means that when VCs and other investors invest in such firms, they are automatically taking on the risk of the government policy changing. It also means that they think that they can manage the system in their favour (and many a time that happens as well).
If people are ending up in debt and committing suicide, no government will sit waiting around and not do anything about it, however suboptimal their solution might be. They need to be seen to be doing something.
So, I don't buy all the sob stories appearing in the business press, oh but what about the VCs. Well, they clearly knew what you were getting into. If they didn't, they wouldn't have been VCs in the first place.
I'm so old I wrote that!
That's assuming it's the Windows version, which is the one I worked on. The Win9x game, art, and original code, were done by Maxis/Cinematronics. I ported it to Windows NT, converted the x86 asm to C, made it work on RISC, and so on.
Success has many fathers, and all credit should really go to the original designers... I'm just the fun uncle that brought it to the masses.

@_YogendraYadav The communication that any one can fill the form is also ridden with inconsistency.
This can be used to create illegal Voters without the documents mentioned in online voter registration.
Growing up in the 80s and 90s, there was a group of research scientists who went beyond their ivory towers, grants and h-indices to popularize science among kids.
Jayant Narlikar, Yash Pal and Girish Karnad (not a career researcher) did no less than Carl Sagan or Bill Nye (not a career researcher) to get a lot of kids interested in science.
That era is long gone. We are now in the era of shiny astrology apps and art of living.
So the much learned, argumentative and much sensible person like @Mahmudabad has been arrested for his fully democratic remarks, but the foul mouthed minister from Madhya Pradesh is allowed to roam free with full security and protocol.
Disgraceful, undemocratic, pathetic. That's what it is.
