All are created in God's image. White supremacy is not of the God of the Bible. #RejectRacismInChristsName #faith

[Rev. Benjamin Cremer @Brcremer]

The same people warning about "sharia law" are the ones demanding live streamed executions, book bans, baring journalists from the White House, eroding women's rights, rounding up people in our streets, and legislating the Bible in schools, all in the name of "Christianity."

[Beth Moore @BethMooreLPM]

I don’t know what’s ahead regarding the allegations that led to the arrests of Seth & Heather Day. They have the right in this country to be heard by a jury and tried in court. But I know this: There’s one fiercely brave girl who defied the odds, broke the family code, marched her bruised body forward and TOLD. God bless that child, heal that child, restore that child and raise that child into one astonishingly mighty woman of faith.

Dear Sisters,

Please only love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength and leave your mind out of it. You are upsetting some of your brothers.

With Love,
Sister Beth

Monday is the day for boops!

[David French @DavidAFrench]

Pathetic.

Once again the Republicans send the same message -- loyalty to Trump is more important than respect for the law.

[Zach W. Lambert @ZachWLambert]

This is the kind of patriotism I want to practice: one rooted in an unwavering commitment to the American promises of liberty and justice for all, especially when America denies those promises to my neighbors.

Maybe the only way to truly love America is to tell the truth about this nation’s flaws, both past and present, while tirelessly working for the day when America finally becomes what it has always promised to be.

Happy July 4th, my friends. We have work to do.

[James Talarico @jamestalarico]

Happy Fourth of July from Willie and me!

[Rev. Benjamin Cremer @Brcremer]

The most common way people take Jesus’ name in vain today isn’t using his name as a cuss word.

It is putting his name in their bio and then posting slurs and being really hateful online.

[Team Talarico @TeamTalaricoHQ]

This is Ken Paxton's mugshot.

He was indicted on 3 felony counts for investment fraud.

He was reported to the FBI by his own staff for bribery.

He was impeached by his own party for corruption.

Now he’s the Republican nominee for US Senate in Texas.

Together we will stop him.

[The Lincoln Project @ProjectLincoln]

The Republican Party quietly deleted their own ad attacking Ken Paxton's record on crime... because Paxton is now the Republican Party's nominee to represent Texas in the U.S. Senate.

Figured if the ad is important enough to delete, it's important enough to see...

[David French @DavidAFrench]

Can we be done with the pretense that Republican primary voters vote for MAGA candidates in spite of their apostasy and corruption? The transgression is a feature, not a bug. It tells voters they don't care about law or morality. Only power.

[Traces of Texas @TracesofTexas]

Sometimes you see a photo that is 100% pure Texas. This is one of them.

[Robert Sterling @RobertMSterling]

I just had the craziest experience at the airport.

We are about to board a flight to Atlanta when the pilot from the incoming plane walks out of the jetway. Guy is probably late 50s, salt and pepper hair, military look. The kind of pilot you instantly feel good about seeing on your flight.

Pilot walks over to the counter, gets on the PA system, and starts addressing everyone. “Folks, I’ve been doing this a long time. Flying one of these jets is easy. The hard part is looking at 130 people and telling them their flight is going to be delayed.”

Audible groans throughout the boarding gate. Most people here are flying to Atlanta as a layover before another flight. 130 people just had their day become a complete mess.

The pilot goes on. “I get it, trust me. But here’s the deal: During our landing, we had a small mechanical issue. I’m not your pilot for the next leg, but I don’t feel confident the jet’s safe to fly until we have a mechanical team look it over, and I don’t feel comfortable asking the next pilots to fly you guys until we get confirmation.”

He points at the agents next to him behind the counter: “Now, none of this is the agents’ fault. Please be kind to them. I’m the one who made this decision, not them, so any inconvenience you experience is my fault. Just please know that I don’t do this lightly, and I’m only doing it because I believe it’s in the best interests of everyone’s safety.”

Now this is where the story gets crazy. The pilot puts the microphone down, grabs his suitcase, and all the people in the gate…

Start clapping.

I’m not joking, everyone starts clapping for the guy. 130 people who just had their travel plans ruined give an ovation to the guy who made the decision and delivered the message.

All because he addressed them with decency and transparency, took ownership of the decision, made it clear that it was necessary, and explained why it was in everyone’s best interest.

It’s honestly one of the best examples of strong communication—of strong leadership, for that matter—that I’ve seen in a long time.

@Delta, whoever your Atlanta to Wichita pilot was this morning, he’s one of the good ones. Please tell him the delayed passengers of flight 1637 appreciate what he did.

Today is the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism. The day when all of Europe marks the end of the most terrible war of the 20th century. A war after which there should have been only genuine peace. That was the dream back then, when the guns of World War II began to fall silent.

That war turned our land into a battlefield of brutal fighting, abuse in occupied territory, and the mass destruction of people and life. The losses of the Ukrainian people were among the greatest in World War II. And the contribution of Ukrainians to the defeat of the Nazis was also among the greatest. Millions of Ukrainians, serving in various armies of the Anti-Hitler Coalition states, fought against Nazism. Millions of Ukrainians were among the victors, having done everything in their power to ensure that absolute evil was defeated.

Unfortunately, 81 years later, we are once again forced to stop evil – evil that is just as absolute. Evil that brings nothing but ruins and abuse. And evil based on a similar ideology of enmity. An updated version of Nazism, marked: made in Russia.

Today, such Russian aggression can and must be defeated by the united free world. And I am grateful to everyone who helps us defend life. I am grateful to everyone who is not allowing this Russian regime to dictate to the world what comes next. Defending people’s lives and the freedom of nations from Putin is an absolutely dignified way to honor the memory of those who did not allow Hitler to subjugate Europe and the world.

Eternal gratitude to all who fought against Nazism and liberated people! Blessed memory to all innocent victims of World War II! Glory to every defender of life! Glory to Ukraine!

[Pope Leo XIV @Pontifex]

Today we celebrate World Press Freedom Day, sponsored by UNESCO. Unfortunately, this right is often violated, sometimes flagrantly, sometimes in hidden ways. Let us remember the many journalists and reporters who are victims of war and violence.

Texas redistricts without a vote, Republicans cheer.

Dems in Virginia respond by putting it UP FOR A VOTE OF THE PEOPLE, it passes, Republican cry foul.

Oh well. Good job Virginia!!

[Senator Mark Kelly @SenMarkKelly]

George Washington believed that vaccinating his troops against smallpox was the key to winning the Revolutionary War and our independence. A founding father from 250 years ago had a better understanding of science and military readiness than Pete Hegseth.
