The TN House passed HB2532, a voucher expansion bill that sends public dollars to private schools with minimal accountability.
Worse, an amendment buried inside would use social security number tracking to monitor students' immigration status.
Some Tennessee Republicans and Democrats argued the new voucher expansion breaks promises made to public school districts last year. House Republicans also quietly slipped in a new amendment that could target public school funding for immigrant students. https://t.co/S04drYD4Np
