Proud parent in New York City. Wanting the best for our kids. We should keep our elected representatives honest and expose hypocrisy!
Email me with leads!
Funny, most of the ‘equity’ advocates I have encountered over the years sent their kids to the whitest G&T programs or screened high schools, and usually schools right near their homes, monopolizing spots from students from the ‘poorer’ neighborhoods.
You know who they were. Some of them are still in the system. Some left for exclusive, pricey private schools.
@leoniehaimson Let me rephrase what you really wish to say Leonie. ‘We reserve the right to harass and scare Jewish kids who aren’t the right sort of Jewish kids’
@NYCcompetence@leoniehaimson@NYCMayor@DOEChancellor The proposed school was unzoned. Everyone in the city had access to it. My understanding is that people from across the city applied. It gave access to the program to kids in Brooklyn and even the Bronx only a quick subway ride away. Kids in Staten Island could get there easily.
@ARSNYC123 He moved over to Bluesky a while back. That being said, he's in the Applying to High School facebook group trying to guilt parents for wanting the best for their kids. Only he's entitled to do that.
This guy has been OBSESSED with PLACE NYC for years. Look at his recent (usual) complaint - screening and integration.
Note: His own kid went to a PRIVATE high school in Manhattan. About 60% white, less than 20% black/brown. And the school screens by religion (only Catholics, no exception), gender (all boys), test scores and grades. No Jews, no Muslims, no Buddhists allowed.
Oh - before this school, his kid was in G&T. Which was very screened via a .... wait for it ... test.
Maybe Timmy should work on himself. Or maybe he just couldn't give a sh*t about anyone else's kids but his own.
@nycdoenuts@ednewtonrex@SusanBEdelman She hasn’t had a kid in the system in years. Pulled her kids out to go to some of the most elite private schools in the country.
Now, she is obsessed with rezoning kids to bus kids as young as six over an hour away so they can have some fake integration.
@madinatoure@read_naveed Good. Giving control to the PEP would be crazy. Listen to some of those people and you’ll wonder if they are there to represent our kids, the unions or their virtue signaling selves.
Once again, AQE and Gavin Healy showing no care for the rights of Jewish students and their safety.
Then again, after October 7, Healy said at a CEC meeting that antisemitism wasn't a big deal.
