You're not behind. You're not too late. You're not the wrong person. Write that down.
The people who changed the world weren't the most talented ones in the room. They were just the most available.
So whatever you've been counting yourself out of — stop it. Count yourself back in. Whatever season you think you missed — you didn't miss it. God's timeline doesn't run on your calendar.
And know this: the cloud of witnesses who've gone before you? They're not sitting down. It's a standing ovation that doesn't stop.
Keep going!
Put your spouse at the center of your universe and you'll suffocate them. Put God at the center and you give them room to actually be a spouse instead of a god.
Many of us are putting God-type pressure on our spouse — then we get mad when they let us down. Like they were ever supposed to be infinite.
Get the order right and the rest follows.
If you're married, what's one way you can take God-type pressure off your spouse this week?
You are what you think about. Whatever's been on your mind the last 30 days — that's the direction you're moving.
I saw a Great White up close a couple years ago. Apex predator. But every big shark started small. Same with your thoughts.
The doubt eating you alive? Started small. The bitterness wrecking your marriage? Small shark. The fear you can't shake? Small shark.
You can choose what you fish for.
2 Corinthians 10:5 — take every thought captive.
What shark are you reeling in this week?
Faith is like a muscle. You gotta work out. Nobody walks into the gym and bench-presses 300 pounds on day one. You don't decide to be strong, you train to be strong. Faith works the same way. Most of us are spiritually out of shape because we keep showing up to the gym, looking around, and walking out. We want the results without the reps.
Here's the reps: prayer when you don't feel like it. Generosity when it's inconvenient. Forgiveness when they don't deserve it. Showing up to church when you'd rather sleep in. That's the workout. That's how faith grows. And one more thing, don't doubt on an island. When the questions hit, get around people who'll lift the weight with you. Faith was never meant to be a solo sport. What's one rep you can do today?
Too many of us, when it comes to a painful situation, we press the pause button. We jump into the pool and we swim the laps of regret. Regret laps don't lead anywhere. You just keep ending up back where you started, tired, soaked, no closer to peace.
There's another option. Altar it. Take what you can't carry, walk it up to the altar, and leave it there. Not because you've figured it out. Because you've decided you don't have to.
Proverbs 3:5–6 doesn't say lean on your own understanding. It says lean NOT on your own understanding. What are you trying to figure out today that God is asking you to surrender?
Not maybe. Not might. KNOW.
God isn't doodling on a napkin. He isn't winging it. He isn't running a rough draft. He's the Architect of the universe… and your life? It's on the blueprint.
Plans to prosper you. Plans to protect you. Plans to propel you into a future you can't see yet and one day won't trade for anything.
So if you're stuck in the holding pattern, the hard place, hear this: God didn't lose the page. He wrote it.
Take a breath. Trust the plan.
"Our faith asks us to stand in such a way that even if everything else is stripped away, your allegiance to Christ remains unshaken."
Powerful words from @MrsErikaKirk at @tpusafaith
Sweet sermons. Soft-serve spirituality. Safe Christianity. That's not the Jesus of Scripture. My friend @DrFrankTurek brought the fire today echoing last night's message.
Is your church preaching the whole truth or just the comfortable parts? Too many pulpits today emphasize grace while avoiding truth, chasing an ‘offense-free’ environment instead of sound doctrine!
Honored to be a part of @tpusafaith at @fc
What a weekend.
So grateful to have had @legitsadiero319 and Christian Huff at Fellowship Church.
Lisa and I walked away better — and that's what the right relationships do. They sharpen you. They stretch you. They sanctify you.
So proud of these two and the way they've stewarded their platform to point people to Jesus. Not to themselves. Not to the hype. To Him.
Keep going, Sadie and Christian. Heaven sees it. And so do we.
You weren't wired for fleeting. You were wired for fruit. Stop reaching. Start abiding.
Today. Not tomorrow. Today!
So grateful for this conversation with @legitsadiero319 & Christian Huff this morning @fc
