This #InternationalWomensDay and #WomensHistoryMonth, let’s teach about the women whose stories go untold. Let’s be deliberate in amplifying the voices of Black women, indigenous women, disabled women, and poor women.

If we only teach mainstream stories, we’re missing the point.

Ontario is reporting 703 schools with an active case of covid (+20 from yesterday). There are now 28 closed schools (+ the Thunder Bay schools not included in the report). There are 96 new cases (82 students + 13 staff + 1 unknown). We are at similar levels as end of November.

If you're non-Indigenous, ask yourself: have you ever had to consider how to access to clean, potable water? Do you know who paid for your water treatment facilities, infrastructure and ongoing maintenance costs?

If you've never had to think about it, why should Indigenous ppl?
