We’ve lost the story that held us.
We’ve replaced ritual with algorithm.
Without sacred stories and shared rituals,
we float in a sea of fragmented narratives—
each of us a lonely myth with no map.
This is not just a philosophical problem.
It’s a psychological emergency.
Rituals are not dead traditions.
They are how the sacred once walked among us.
Before there were doctrines, there were dances.
Before there were creeds, there were sacrifices.
Ritual is how meaning becomes real—
not in the head, but in the body, in the community, in the sacred.
We don’t just live through stories—
we see through them.
Before there were civilizations, there were stories.
And in every great human story is the search for meaning in the face of chaos.
When our stories collapse, so does our sense of coherence.
And that’s where we are now.
We don’t find ourselves alone.
We become ourselves in the presence of others.
Your growth—psychological, spiritual, emotional—is deeply relational.

On the Modern Alchemy podcast with Dr. Chris Colombo, we talked about The House of God—and how sometimes the best care is doing less.
You can’t chart your way around reality.
At some point, faith is necessary.

Purpose without sacrifice is just a hobby.
If you’re not suffering for it, you’re probably just dabbling.
Real purpose demands your time, comfort, ego—and sometimes your peace.
You don’t just claim it.
You pay for it.

You’re not here to be perfect.
You’re here to be whole.
Perfection avoids the shadow.
Wholeness integrates it.
Your flaws aren’t the problem.
Your disconnection from them is.

Leadership is a mirror.
It reveals every unfinished part of you.
What you haven’t integrated will be projected—onto your team, your goals, your stress.
Before you manage others, master your own chaos.

Most self-help is just self-evasion.
We build habits, routines, and “mindsets” to avoid the very parts of ourselves that need attention.
Fixing your habits doesn’t fix your soul.
Real growth means facing what you’ve buried.
#JungianPsychology
You’re always leading—
From your shadow self (off-purpose)
or your actualized self (on-purpose).
One leads from fear.
The other from alignment.
Leadership starts not with what you do,
but with who you are being.
#Leadership#SelfAwareness
Politics are dividing workplaces—not from bad values, but bad thinking.
Confirmation bias.
Emotional reasoning.
Different moral foundations (Haidt).
We don’t need to agree.
But we do need to understand how we think—and talk like humans.
“Be true to yourself” has become a slogan for doing whatever we want.
But real self-truth is found in listening to your conscience—
not just knowing the truth, but living it.
That costs you something.
But ignoring it costs more.
Self-deception offers short-term refuge from confronting uncomfortable truths, but it ultimately creates distance from reality. This strategy may appear to protect us from anxiety, yet it gradually builds an environment that becomes increasingly hostile.
In our personal lives and relationships, ignoring signs and challenges only increases our vulnerability to stress, unresolved conflicts, and missed opportunities for growth.
Real strength lies not in avoidance but in the courage to engage with the complexities of our experiences and relationships.
