Today is National Vietnam War Veterans Day. On this day in 1973, the last U.S. combat troops left Vietnam. Last week I was honored to meet William R. Carafa, Jr. of Chelsea, wounded twice in Vietnam. Purple Heart recipient. Thank you and God Bless all Vietnam vets.

It’s Women’s History Month. So many dynamic women made our country and our Commonwealth great; people like Brenda J. Butterworth. She was an activist, artist, X-Ray Technician, successful RE professional for about 30 years, and my mom! Gone 13 years now, she was my role model!

Consumer Alert: Uber surcharges on fares and deliveries are on tap as gas prices soar. Riders will pay a fee between 45 and 55 cents per trip. Uber Eats deliveries will include a 35 to 45 cent surcharge. The fees will go to drivers, who pay for the gas they use. Stay tuned.
